Hormone Consultation
Ruby provides hormone consultations for both men and women, with a focus on addressing hormonal imbalances. This includes assistance with perimenopausal and postmenopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, weight gain, vaginal dryness, and genitourinary symptoms of menopause. Ruby also assists women experiencing irregular menses, bleeding, or symptoms related to conditions like PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), endometriosis, or dysmenorrhea. Additionally, she offers support for patients seeking gender-affirming hormone therapy and can refer them to Planned Parenthood.

Annual/Preventative Visits:
Ruby conducts annual visits, during which patients work together with her to create personalized health improvement plans. These visits include comprehensive physical exams, screenings (e.g., pap smears), and referrals for mammograms, colon cancer screenings, bone density assessments, as well as regular biometric screenings like cholesterol, kidney and liver function, electrolyte levels, Vitamin D, Thyroid, and hormone levels if necessary. Ruby can serve as a primary care provider or adjunct to your existing primary care provider. -
Birth Control Consultation:
Ruby evaluates and manages hormonal and non-hormonal contraception options, such as combined estrogen/progestin contraception, progesterone-only contraception, vaginal rings, patches, contraceptive gel (non-hormonal), and provides counseling on natural family planning. Note that IUDs and implants (Nexplanon) are not currently offered but may be available soon. -
Weight Loss Consultation:
Ruby offers lifestyle medicine consultations, delving into patients' histories and lifestyles to help them achieve health goals. Emphasis is placed on dietary interventions, physical activity, rest, stress management, and weight loss. Prescription medications can be considered if necessary. These visits are beneficial for individuals with conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, - Dysuria/UTI Management: Ruby assists anyone, regardless of gender, experiencing symptoms suggestive of a urinary tract infection (UTI) or genitourinary infection. This includes issues like painful urination, urgency, blood in urine, vaginal or penile discharge, painful scrotum/testicles, sores, ulcers, or lesions.
- STI Symptoms Screening and Treatment: Ruby offers screenings for various sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and provides treatment when necessary. This includes screenings for chlamydia, gonorrhea, herpes (types 1 and 2), trichomoniasis, HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and syphilis. She can also prescribe medications for conditions like cold sores or genital lesions. Ruby can also provide PreP (Preexposure prophylaxis) for HIV to individuals at high risk, such as escorts, swingers, those in open marriages, the LGBTQ+ community, or sex workers.
- Basic Mood Medication Management: Ruby offers basic mood medication management for conditions like depression and anxiety, excluding ADHD, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, chronic pain, or other psychiatric conditions. She does not prescribe opioids.
